Most people would love to be able to travel the world, but the fact is that it’s a pretty expensive thing to do, and if you’re going to be traveling the world, then you’ll be needing a lot of time to do it, which again is going to mean that you will need the money available to do so.

However, just because it seems like something that you won’t be able to afford, doesn’t mean it’s not possible – it’s more than possible if you’re willing to be good with your money, save up, and even cut back on some other things that are perhaps cutting into your monthly income and that you don’t really need to be spending money on.

So, in this post, we’re going to share with you some of our top tips on how to save for a world trip.

Take on extra work:

One of the best ways to save is by bringing in more money than you have going out, and a good way of being able to do this is by taking on extra work – for example, by taking on more hours at your job, and if this isn’t a possibility, then looking at places online where you can find work such as freelance writing jobs, teaching jobs or even translation or virtual assistant jobs to boost your travel fund. There are plenty of places online where you can get paid for your creative talents, so don’t be afraid to reach out and find yourself some extra work with these places if you’re looking to bring in a bit of extra money each month.

Get a loan:

Whilst taking a loan isn’t something you should do just for no reason and you should make sure you’re fully able to pay it back and be responsible, it’s definitely a good option if you’re someone who’s sensible with their money and understands that a loan is just that. If you look online you’ll find places like Snappy among others who will give you good rates on loans, so as long as you know you can afford the repayments and will make them without issue, then taking a loan could definitely be a good way to make sure you’re able to afford your trip.

Have a clear out:

One of the very best ways to raise some extra cash for something is simply by having a look at what’s already lying around in your house. For example, if you have loads of pairs of shoes or clothes, or even furniture that you don’t need, use or want, then you could sell this on places like eBay to raise some extra money, and you’ll be surprised by just how much money is actually in your house just sitting there once it’s all added up.

Rent your place:

If you have a property that you own and are looking to be away for a year or so, then a good solution to helping you raise funds for traveling and making sure your place is getting paid for is to rent your place out whilst you’re away. You can find people privately for this or use something like AirBnB, but it’s definitely an ideal way to make money for your trip.

I am a Wife, Mother of Three Children, and Caregiver to my Grandmother. I started couponing, with the direction of my Friend. She showed me the “Ins and Outs” and total benefits of using coupons. In just a few months of couponing I was able to produce a stock-pile of Diapers, wipes and other Toiletries. I can remember thinking to myself that I was a fool, paying full price for things like Toothpaste when you can get it for Free. After couponing for 5 years now, I have saved my family hundreds of dollars a month. We no longer need to run to the store if we run out of toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. After years of experience, I wanted to be able to share it with other people and help them also save money.
